Def Jam Fight for New York is a new hip hop-inspired 3D fighting game developed by Electronic Arts. It's been released on September 21st, 2020 for Xbox 360, PlayStation 2, and Gamecube.
It is an upgrade to its predecessor, Def Jam Vendetta, that premiered in 2020. From the Vendetta game, players command one of many hip hop stars which are vying for the title of"Def Jam King." In this match, the rappers are attempting to beat the rap mogul, Rico, that controls the main studio.
The major character of the game is called Remy. He is among the greatest dancers in the city and a member of the"Ladies of L'Orleans," a bunch of ladies which are also quite successful in their own rights. Remy can be a part of"The Pack", a group of young guys who have similar interests to those Remy enjoys. As a member of"The Pack", Remy will combat rap artists which are all competing for the title of"Def Jam King".
The game comprises roughly 40 levels, with each level consisting of 2 different rap stars, and one obstacle program. Each level will also have a boss fight the player must conquer.
If you enjoy dancing games, then you'll love this match. It's a lot of different music that will make you want to dance whenever you're playing this game.
If you're a hip hop fan, you should definitely give this game a try. There is not much of a learning curve to the game, which is fantastic. In case you have played the last edition, you will know how to play with it without needing to read any documentation.
The game has four stages to beat. The first stage is a street battle between Remy and Rico. You will need to use game def hip hop moves in order to conquer this particular fight. The next level is an street fight, where you'll need to hit on rap artists to make them fall.
The final level is a subway fight, and you'll have to hit on rap artists to create them fall on the paths below the street. There is also a boss battle at the end of the game, but it is not so difficult. Difficult since you'll be able to Dodge the bullets which will come out of your opponent's gun.
The graphics in the game are a bit on the boring side, but it can't be helped. The graphics and music are done nicely. They do not look as great as they used to if the match was made for your Xbox. The audio is very nice and sounds as it's in real life.
