Finally, there is a final story that involves your own personal narrative. This last area of the game is known as the Endless Fall, which involves you after a timeline which leads to your death. But because the game takes place over the duration of two years, there's no way for one to actually reach that point, but it's likely to look at the game at a journal and see your own progress.
From the Hearts Stories you perform, you need to pick between two very different endings. The very first one, called the authentic End, is the path which permits you to rescue the King Henry in their troubles. But when you fail at this task, you cannot come back to the last and make a choice in the future. Instead, the choice you make will always remain in your current. But should you end up achievement, you will then pay a visit to the past and select another ending. The main reason Alice doesn't create a choice in her own time is because if she did, she might possibly be trapped inside the realm of the match and be forced to undergo her own tragedy.
However, another alternative, called the False Ending, allows you to continue on with your life, but the past will stay shut for you.
